Seasalted Caramel
1/2 cup (1.2 dl) maple syrup
2 tablespoons margarine
A pinch of coarse salt
Heat the syrup in a pot, bringing it to a good boil. Add the margarine and allow the mixture to simmer until the caramel thickens and becomes gooey. Remove from heat and stir in the salt.
This sauce is delicious on ice cream, popcorn, or almost anything except steak!
Caramel popcorn is simply made by popping a bag of microwave popcorn, spreading the popcorn on parchment paper, and drizzling the caramel sauce over it. Let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
Then, just try not to finish the popcorn before getting back to the living room to share with the family, because it’s that good!
