Polarbread
2 tsp dry yeast
500 ml warm milk
110 g light syrup
75 g soft butter
1 tsp salt
250 g rye flour
300-500 g wheat flour
Start by dissolving the yeast in the warm milk. Add the syrup, salt, and soft butter, along with the rye flour and wheat flour. Add wheat flour as needed.
Knead the dough well and let it rise for 60 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. When the dough is about 1 cm thick, poke it with a fork and cut out round cakes similar in size to a saucer. A pizza cutter works best for cutting out the cakes. Collect the scraps, knead, and roll them out again.
Arrange the cakes on baking paper and let them rise slightly while the oven heats to 200°C. Bake for a few minutes, but remove the cakes when they begin to brown on the edges. Allow the cakes to cool before placing them in a bag.
