Pesto Bread
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
290 ml warm water
400 g bread flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp green pesto
70 g pine nuts
Start by dissolving the yeast and sugar in the warm water. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
Mix in the flour, pesto, salt, and pine nuts. Knead the dough and allow it to rise for at least 30 minutes. Knead the dough again and place it in a greased bread pan. Let the bread rise again for 30 minutes, then bake at 200°C for 20-30 minutes or until the bread has a nice color.
Of course, you can also bake the bread in a bread machine, but it’s best to use the regular bread setting.
