Pecan Loaf
1 tsp dry yeast
400 g bread flour
1 tsp salt
15 g butter
3 tbsp maple syrup
280 ml water
70 g chopped pecans
Place all the ingredients in a bread machine using the standard program.
If you don’t have a bread machine, there’s a little bit more work:
You can certainly do this in the oven, but first dissolve the yeast in warm water, wait 10 minutes, then add all the other ingredients and knead the dough well. Allow it to proof, then place it in a loaf pan, let it proof again, and finally bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes, or until the bread is nicely browned and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
