Loaded Bacon Fries
500 g baking potatoes (e.g., Maris Piper), cut into fries
1-2 tsp olive oil
2 tsp smoked paprika
0.5 tsp garlic powder
0.5 tsp onion powder
0.5 tsp chili powder
0.25 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper
6 slices luxury bacon, cooked and cut into strips
100 g grated cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend
Jalapeño slices
Cut the potatoes into fries and place them in a bag with the olive oil and spices. Shake well to coat the fries evenly.
Spread the coated fries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan setting) for 25 minutes, turning the fries once during baking.
Remove the fries from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish. Sprinkle the cooked bacon strips, cheese, and jalapeño slices over the fries. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve the loaded fries with sour cream mixed with chives, ranch dressing, or tomato ketchup.
