Flapjacks with milk chocolate
250 g oats
125 g butter
125 g light brown sugar
75 g syrup
A pinch of salt
100 g milk chocolate chips for topping after baking
Line a baking pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Next, melt the butter, syrup, and brown sugar in a saucepan. Once the brown sugar has dissolved and the mixture starts to simmer, remove the pan from the heat and add the salt and oats. Stir well.
Pour the mixture into the parchment-lined baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C.
When you take the cake out of the oven, sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot cake so they melt.
Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting it into pieces.
