Cinnamon Twists
A simple recipe that fills your home with the delightful aroma of baked cinnamon sugar. These are perfect served warm with a tall glass of milk.
1 pack puff pastry
50 g melted butter
2 tsp cinnamon
4 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp brown sugar
For icing:
50 g powdered sugar
Water
Roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin into a 25 x 30 cm rectangle.
Brush the pastry with a thin layer of melted butter.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it evenly over the pastry.
Fold the pastry in half to double it.
Cut the dough into 1.5 cm wide strips. Twist the strips and place them on parchment paper in the air fryer.
Bake at 160°C for 8-12 minutes, or until the pastry turns golden brown.
Prepare a thick icing by gradually adding small amounts of water to the powdered sugar, stirring until it reaches the desired thickness.
Drizzle the icing over the warm twists and serve them while they’re still warm.
