Cinnamon Swirl Cake
The Cake:
1 egg
1/2 dl melted butter
1 dl sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 dl milk
1 dl whole wheat flour
2 1/2 dl flour
Swirl Mixture:
1 dl melted butter
1 dl brown sugar
1 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Icing:
2 dl powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
This recipe is suitable for two small (19 cm) round pans or one large (24 cm) pan.
Mix all the ingredients for the cake batter together until smooth, then pour it into a greased pan.
Next, mix the swirl ingredients together and spread them over the cake batter before baking. You can also swirl the mixture into the cake to create a marbled effect. I often use the end of a spoon to do this, creating spirals with the spoon.
Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes at 180°C in a convection oven.
Allow the cake to cool slightly, then drizzle the icing over the cake.
