Cinnamon and Raisin Bread (Breadmaker)
1 tsp yeast (suitable for bread machines)
400 g strong flour
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
75 g butter
100 ml milk
100 ml water
150 g raisins
For a dairy-free option:
Substitute butter with margarine
Replace the milk and water with 200 ml almond milk
Method (for a bread machine):
Add the wet ingredients (milk, water, eggs, and melted butter) to the bread machine first.
Then, add the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt).
Sprinkle the yeast on top of the flour to ensure it doesn't come into direct contact with the liquid.
Set the bread machine to the appropriate setting for sweet bread or raisin bread.
Add the raisins when the machine signals or about 10 minutes into kneading.
Let the bread machine do its job, and enjoy the fragrant raisin and cinnamon loaf when it’s done!
