Cherry Jello Pie
1 package of crushed oatmeal cookies (225 g)
3 tablespoons melted butter
2/3 cup boiling water
1 package cherry Jell-O
1 cup cold water
1 can Cool Whip*
Start by placing the crushed cookies in the bottom of a baking dish and drizzling the melted butter over them.
In a bowl, dissolve the Jell-O powder in the hot water, then add the cold water and Cool Whip. Stir well and refrigerate the mixture for 15 minutes. Stir the mixture again and pour it over the cookie crust. Store in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with a cocktail cherry if desired.
