Cheeseburger casserole
85 g dry pasta
1 tsp olive oil
3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
250 g ground beef
1 garlic clove, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tin diced tomatoes
100 g shredded cheese
Dill pickles (for serving)
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain and place it in a baking dish.
Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the ground beef until fully cooked.
Add the onion and grated garlic to the pan and cook until the onion softens.
Stir in the tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and diced tomatoes. Cook for a few minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Combine the cooked beef mixture with the pasta in the baking dish.
Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
Bake at 180°C until the cheese melts and turns golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
Serve with dill pickles and optionally top with Heinz yellow mustard or ketchup for that classic cheeseburger flavor.
