100 ml lukewarm water

1 egg

3 tbsp oil

4 dl all-purpose flour

1 tbsp dry yeast

1 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

Filling:

2 tbsp melted butter

1 dl grated cheese

or

Pizza sauce and grated cheese

Mix all the ingredients together except for the filling ingredients. Add flour as needed. Roll the dough out into a large square (the size of a baking tray).

Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle the cheese over the center lengthwise.

Fold one side of the dough over the filling, then fold the other side over so the dough is essentially triple-layered.

Now turn the log so that the seams are facing down. Brush with more butter and sprinkle with seeds if desired. Cut the log into pieces and twist them. Let them rise for 20-30 minutes.

Bake at 180°C for 8-12 minutes or until the bows are beautifully golden.
