Burger Buns

300 ml warm water

2 tsp dry yeast

2 1/2 tbsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 egg

3 cups bread flour

1/3 cup flour

2 1/2 tbsp butter

It’s easiest to put this in a bread maker, but you can also dissolve the yeast in warm water with the sugar. Let the yeast froth for 10 minutes.

Knead the dry ingredients together along with the egg and butter. Allow the dough to rise for about 1 hour.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces, shape them into balls, and gently press them down so they become slightly flatter. Let them rise until the breads have doubled in size.

Brush with an egg mixed with a little water and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.
