Basic White Rolls

Basic White Rolls

This recipe is very simple and works well as a side for soup or as a base for garlic bread.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 tsp dry yeast

600 g bread flour

2 tsp sugar

2 tbsp oil

1 1/2 tsp salt

350 g warm water

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and let it sit for a few minutes until it starts to froth.

Mix in the remaining ingredients and knead the dough until smooth.

Let the dough rise for at least 30 minutes or until it doubles in size.

Shape the dough into rolls or small baguettes.

Brush the tops with milk or egg and let the bread rise in an 80°C oven for 20 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to 200°C and bake until the bread turns golden brown.
