Bacon-Wrapped Dates

24 slices of streaky bacon

48 dates

1 small tub of cream cheese

3/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 tsp chili flakes

Preheat your oven to 200°C.

Cut each date lengthwise, like a hot dog bun, and remove the pit.

Spoon about half a teaspoon of cream cheese into each date.

Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap each cream cheese-stuffed date with a piece of bacon.

Place each wrapped date on a baking rack with aluminium foil underneath to catch any drips.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup and chili flakes together.

Remove the dates from the oven and brush them with the maple syrup glaze.

Return to the oven and bake for a few more minutes until the bacon is crispy to your liking.

Serve immediately or allow to cool to room temperature.
