Airfryer Chicken
1 small whole chicken
Chicken Seasoning:
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon thyme
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
A pinch of cayenne pepper
In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
Place the seasoned chicken in the air fryer basket with the breast side down.
Set the air fryer to 180°C and cook for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, carefully flip the chicken so that the breast side is facing up.
Continue to cook for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 70°C.
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature at the thickest part of the chicken (the breast and thigh should both read 70°C or higher).
Once fully cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the meat more tender.
Serve the chicken with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
