Air Fryer Hot Dogs with Caramelized Onions
4 sausages (hot dogs)
4 hot dog buns
1 tsp oil
1 small onion
Optional Toppings:
Fried onions
Ketchup
Mustard
Remoulade
Relish
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
Thinly slice the onion and drizzle with a little oil.
Make a few shallow cuts in the sausages to help them crisp up and cook evenly.
Place the sausages and onions in the air fryer basket and cook for 8 minutes. If using thicker sausages, increase the cooking time by about 4 minutes.
Once the sausages are nearly done, you can warm the hot dog buns in the air fryer pot for a few minutes.
Serve with your favorite toppings: Add fried onions, ketchup, mustard, remoulade, or relish as desired.
